Good morning everyone! It's Suzanne from S.HOPtalk and I'm so excited to be here today. {Thank you Melissa for inviting me over}. I love stopping by here each morning and viewing the world through Melissa's eyes, don't you? Her knack for capturing the beauty in everyday things often provides me with a fresh perspective and inspiration for the day ahead.
When I was thinking about writing today's post I kept coming back to Melissa's little things series--it's a favorite of mine and I, too, often find myself thinking in terms of the little things I appreciate these days. One of the many things I am grateful for is rain--odd, because until recently, I considered rain a nuisance. It meant bad hair days and muddy feet. That perspective has changed over the last several years--perhaps because rain has become scarce here in CA. In realizing its importance, I've also learned to take notice and cherish the little gifts of rainy days...
the sweet pitter patter on the windows at night
the promise of new blooms in my garden come Springtime
the sweet sound of giggles as my daughter {purposely} runs through puddles
the perfect excuse to stay in and watch old movies all day
and the renewed energy I feel when the sun finally returns
These are the little things I'm treasuring as I head into the weekend {which, by the way, is forecasted for rain}. How about you...what little things are you treasuring on this lovely Friday?
Thank you sweet Melissa for having me here today!!!
