Hello sweet friends!
Happy Thursday! It is raining, raining, raining here....sheesh. I am sure we need it but, I am good and sick of it. What's the weather like where you are? Sunny, I hope! Well, a couple of weeks ago I talked a tiny bit about how our new house was starting to feel a little bit more like home. I hinted at special things throughout that make everything feel more familiar and bring daily joy. So, I thought I would open up the top of my desk and show you what was in there today, some things that are very special to me and brighten my days. Even when it is raining...:) They are little things that I treasure. (please click on the image twice to see it bigger)

1~
Catty Catty by the lovely Lisa(this little guy makes me smile all the time, he is so very French to me and circusy...which apparently I like although minus the clowns( which I definitely don't like) :) Lisa gave him to me and I adore him....with his sweet gray stripes, jaunty little bow and wonderful stache...he reminds me of handmade toys I would see on my travels as a child and that I wished I could take home with me!
2~
Darling owl by thequirkycorncrib (Ez gave this to me as a gift for Christmas and I love him, all the tiny stitches, the beautiful black, and his sweet little expression)
3~
lady mushroom by Tamar Mogendorff ( I guess it is not a secret that I adore Tamar's work, and whenever I get the chance I love to see what the latest creation is that she has come up with- this little mushroom is so lovely to me so I keep her near by, plus I adore polka dots and her sweet little expression)
4~
avocado by Tamar Mogendorff( this one has special meaning to me because it reminds me of where I grew up, southern Florida in the middle of an avocado and mango grove, growing little avocado seeds in the window of our house happened pretty frequently and makes me smile)
5~
sweet little bird by Lauren Alane( Like a lot of us, I have loved these since the moment I first saw them over a year ago. I was always missing the ones in Lauren's shop so, I was thrilled to get to buy one in person from Lauren at Renegade, she is a sweetheart by the way, and this little gal with her pretty teal color and sweet little bow makes me smile.
6~
balloon girl by yellowgoat (Ah, adorable Petula from Yellowgoat, with the brilliant jewelry design....I received this gorgeous little collage in the mail the other day and it brightens all the gray days we have been having here lately. I love it!)
7~
tiniest of birdies by Abigail Brown ( so tiny and so ingenious.....a sweet little birdie that fits in a vintage matchbox....what a brilliant and joyful idea! Not to mention that Abigail's work is gorgeous)
8~
darling moose by wren & chickadee ( well, anything whimsical and unexpected always gets me and Ez always surprises me, even though we are so close- I adore that this little moose is "putting on airs" )
10~
gorgeous new blue bird by astulabee (*sigh* Nicole's work is just perfection to me, and like Tamar's work- her stitches and use of texture and color inspire me plus, all of Nicole's work seems to have such character and a very vivid history)
11~
pinecone by knitalatte (Margie's work is so special because I don't think I have ever met anyone as connected to nature as Margie(except for dear Maya) and it shows in everything she does. And even though I wouldn't call myself nature girl, I do love nature so much and anything relating to it gives me so much joy and so much inspiration. I am always trying to bring the outdoors inside. :)
12~
photograph from Ez(this one is so special to me, not just cause I am in love with tea but, because after Ez visited with us for a week at Christmas time and then went back home....I missed her so much and this photograph she took for me made me feel like we weren't that far apart after all, we could pretend we were having a cup of tea together, chatting & laughing)
13~
print from wren & chickadee( a little white goose, cool tape and perfect styling....I love it)
14~
little red stripy guy by fernanimals( again, I fell in love with this little guy the moment I laid eyes on him, I was so happy to receive him and his red & white stripes make me smile every day.)
* you can also see a little bit of a small pillow from
enhabiten peeking
out from the left hand side of my desk. ( I adore Liane's shop and this little pillow smells SO good.....when I start to feel a little stressed at my desk, I pick it up, inhale and instantly feel better.....plus, it is SO gorgeous)
There are many more, in other places around our home(or soon to be) and they bring me such joy. Also, whenever I see something lovingly and exquisitely hand-made, it gives me hope. Reminding me of all the beauty there is in this world. What is a little thing you are treasuring today? I would really love to know~ I hope you enjoyed this tiny tour, thanks for sharing it with me and have a beautiful day my friends!
