                           I just wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank my two new lovely sponsors. Not only are these two ladies talented and wonderful people...they are my friends. And I thank them for their generosity in supporting Melissa loves. 

You all probably know all about the sweet Miss Cassie already....but, I have had the pleasure of meeting her in person and she is just as lovely and special as her gorgeous jewlery. 

It began with my sister in law falling in love with Cassie's shop and then giving Marichelle those beautiful earrings above for Christmas last....then, it seemed I couldn't help but, fall for everything Cassie made. You may not know my dear friend King. But, I can tell you she is one of the loveliest people I know....down to earth, kind, friendly and generous. Not to mention she was one of my very first friends, after our first children were born. Well, King had a career before children too but, gave that up to be home with them. We spent many an hour supporting each other and laughing over the first time parenting obstacles that we found in our way. 

Then, about the time I thought I would love to try my hand at designing jewelry.....King thought she would design a better product for baby. And she did! Her buggy cup and hook were born and I am here to tell you how incredibly hard she worked on both. I am so proud of her....I knew she was good at design but, it has also been a huge success and she did it all from her desk at home while managing to be a great mom to two cuties. It's my bag, baby!

Hello sweet friends! 

                    Are you ready for this week's "It's my bag, baby!" ? Me too! I am excited to have the lovely Danni from "Oh, hello friend" here today. Danni is such a sweetheart & her blog is a pleasure to read. I adore her bag( and that balloon pin)!  Time to get to know Danni a bit better....

1. My marc jacobs 'inspired' heart bag. My bag changes weekly but this is my latest bag. I'm not rich enough to afford the real thing, although it would be nice ;)  (http://www.bagbliss.com/designer/marc-jacobs-purse/marc-jacobs-big-heart-andy-shopper-tote)

2. Notebook. It is one big to do list. I love it. This book also keeps my collection of random + found stickers, papers, fortunes, and things I come across.

3. Camera! Green, my favorite color. Nice, compact, and slim. A present from my bf.

4. Lipbalm and gloss. Can't leave home without them. I usually have 4 or 5 with me - in case I loose one. (esp. since these guys tend to get away from me) I really love peppermint - the bath&body works gloss is my current favorite. But I'm still on the search for a perfect chapstick! (any suggestions?)

5. iphone. I sometimes wonder what I would do without it, haha. It is so nice to be able to email when I'm out. Plus I got it for free from my work.. and I just have to mention it's the original. no 3g for me - this guy has been dropped a dozen times and hasn't broken on my yet! hehe.

6. Mini Bag. I love having these cause all the glosses and gum and candy go in here. This was a gift from my friend, but it also changes since I buy them all the time. (I had my madebyhank one before) I stuck the yellow balloon pin on it, which was also a birthday gift from my friend jessicajane. I have some lovely friends.

7. Candy. Okay, sometimes you just need some candy when you're on the go ;) I remember 'zotz' when I was younger - they have some fizz thing on the inside. lol. and I came across them at a candy store recently, I was super excited. They are so good!

8. Gum. If you want some strong and powerful gum, go for Altoids!

9. Pocket Mirror + hair pin. Always have to have an extra hair pin just in case.( * I believe the cute little hair pin is from Danni's sweet shop~ here~ is that right Danni?) 

10. My wallet. Like my bags, I switch my wallet out occasionally. This is my latest find, I love the ivory color. It's from urban. and was only $5 dollars! ;)

Cheap & Chic: inspired by a coat

Hello sweet friends! 

                      Back with today's cheap & chic.....you know, I have been searching and searching for the right coat for me, for fall.....and yesterday I found it. Without even knowing it was the one I had been searching for, I found it and snapped it up! Again, I am asking you to trust me when I say that this coat is so super cute on....it has subtle ruffles and subtle cinching(if you want) and deep pockets and is so very comfy. AND it is on sale for $35.00! It speaks of walks in the woods(pocketing little treasures you find along the way) and throwing it on to grab coffee and tea with your gals, and being toasty on a crisp fall day! So, I hope you like the outfit it inspired.....I love the idea of pairing super casual with a teeny bit dressy.

Monday: Inspired by earrings

Hello sweet friends! 

                       I sure hope you all had lovely weekends....did you? What did you do? Anything fun or exciting you'd like to share? We took it pretty easy this weekend, hung out with friends( which is always lovely and restoring). Over the weekend I saw these gorgeous earrings from the lovely Tiffany over at Munted Kowhai. 

Gorgeous cobalt blue knots....which inspired the other blue finds here( okay the cardigan and bag aren't blue but, they are lovely with the blue...don't you think? )

I never really payed cobalt blue much mind in the past and now....I find myself attracted to it more and more. Why is that? Do you ever wonder which comes first? Your new found love of a color or seeing it cropping up everywhere so, it becomes your new found fave? Hmmm....

Hello dear friends, 

                         Happy friday everyone! I am so happy to have the lovely Freya, from Freya Art with us today. I have so many of her pieces on my wishlist as her work is both lovely and positive. A combination I love to have in my home. I was thrilled to find out more about the inspiration behind this particular piece, wouldn't you like to know too? Wonderful.....

"I am at the stage in my life where a lot of my best girlfriends are having their beautiful babies and this has been my inspiration for this particular piece. Every time I meet a new little precious bundle for the first time I think of the sentiments I have written here. That the world has so much beauty to show us if we choose to look for it and how exciting it is to see the world through new eyes.

I think that is also what I hope people take from this piece as well. That although the world can sometimes seem scary and overwhelming, we should never forget what an exciting and amazing planet this is that we are lucky to call our home. It's full of limitless possibilities and there is beauty to be found everywhere even if sometimes it may seem hidden, we just need to open our eyes like a child or find the right person to guide us to it."

The little things: things for fall....

Hello sweets, 

             This past weekend we went to the reservation near by here in search of the waterfall that is there. It is a tiny one, but lovely, and trickles down into a small pool. My girls had such a good time, tossing stones, wading into the water(even though they had their shoes on), and collecting sticks. I had a great time searching for the perfect stone to skip and Joel(my hubby) had  a good time watching us all and even Maddie(our doggie) plunked into the water(very unusual for her) and waded about! It all made me so happy and longing for the fall weather to really kick in. When it does, we will go back to the reservation, warm beverage in hand.....and find a new adventure to enjoy. It all makes me think of my favorite things for fall right now, in no particular category....just things I am loving right now. 

1~ I am completely obsessed with this industrial seed packet holder(?) since I saw it yesterday on decor8. I would love to have this in my house, filled with photos and prints! I haven't been able to find one yet, but I will keep looking! (update: Thanks to lovely Ingrid from woodwoolstool I now know where to buy this awesome postcard display rack! Right here...YAY! 

2~ I love this sweet print( I think I have posted on it before) and would love to have it in my home. here

3~such a beautiful throw and it looks so cozy.....( in grey, no surprise there). here

4~ completely obsessed with globes....a little late in the game....keep daydreaming of how my girls will enjoy spinning it. here

5~I know, I know....I think I already posted on this baby...forgive me, I am enamored. here
