Hello my friends!
Don't you love it when you discover something new? New to you at least...and it makes you so happy? Well, that is how I felt when I saw Leah Duncan's work the other day. And this particular piece, "Hills", is one of my favorites. Would you like to hear what Leah had to say about this piece? I thought so! :)
"Hills was inspired by one of my imaginary vacations. These days it's so hard to find time to get away. Thankfully my imagination allows me to escape to different places in my head from time to time. The hills are the view from my quaint little wood cabin in the countryside dotted with old pine and mexican plum trees, wildflowers, and an awful lot of overgrown grass. I'm not really sure where it's located or even if such a place exists, but I do know there's always a nice breeze and we spend most of our time hiking up those hills to explore and enjoy the sunset. There's a small river that runs down by the cabin where we swim and do laundry. It's a simple, serene place that is about getting back to the basics. Even on busy days, if I can take a moment to put myself there, it instantly reminds me of the simple things in life and relaxes me."
{how do you hope this piece makes the viewer feel?}
" Peaceful. I don't think any other word could sum it up so perfectly."
