Hello my dears!
Happy, happy friday! So, my kitchen needs help....there are many things I would like to do to it, but only one thing had to go immediately(when we moved in) and that was the floor. It was an old brown faux brick linoleum from the 70's? I am guessing....and I really, really didn't like it. So, I painted over it, in white. Now, I am one of those folks that will paint pretty much anything if it holds still long enough and I will usually paint it antique white. But, in this case the floor became the bane of my existence and I was disliking it more and more(even though I have painted wood floors white before and loved it) So, I thought and thought about what to do that didn't involve much money and came up with this. I really love how it came out! I did a reverse stencil with some doilies I already had and then painted the whole floor in a floor & porch paint in a light grey. When taking the doilies up(which I had sprayed with temporary adhesive) I had to put in some elbow grease. And the result was better than I had planned. They ended up looking kind of weathered and I really love that. Not sure if you can see that in the photo...What do you think?
At any rate, I am so much happier with it now and all it took is a day! Do you have any projects like that that are nagging at you? What are they? Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I think we are going to be lying kind of low & getting things done around the house. Whatever you are doing I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy. But, before you go....
Let's pretend we are all on this together, okay? wow.
And we will wear this(in navy) & these... & these cuties(in pink floral)
but, not before we see this, these & this
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend my friends...and I hope it looks a little something like this:
I will see you back here on monday with a new inspiration post....until then, be well.
xo
