Monday monday

Hello sweet ones, 

                 You know, whenever the power goes out I feel slightly defeated. It went out twice this weekend; due to strange weather. It goes out, I try to make the best of it....feel slightly defeated & then when it comes back on I want to celebrate. That makes me feel even worse beccause I hate how dependent I am on it. sigh. Do you feel that way too? At any rate, we managed to finish the girlies costumes for Halloween ( the "high heel shoe" has now become a "wrapped package", as we could NOT figure out a way to make it safe and opearable. Fail. We really, really tried....Over the weekend I also saw the two images below and fell in love. Cascading leaves & cascading jewels. Both, inspire me.

Closer to home

Hello sweet things, 

                  Happy Friday! Are you as glad to see this weekend, as I am? whew. It is just gorgeous outside right now, cold...but, gorgeous. So, I thought I would take a little snapshot of our porch at the moment. My girls accuse me of downplaying the Halloween decorations & I guess I can see their point. But, look! Don't you see little sparkly bats on the ceiling? Don't I get credit for that? :) You can also see the bench and the urns I told you about, the ones I picked up from the yard sale last weekend. Still love them....

What have you got planned for this weekend, anything fun? Have I mentioned that my littlest gal's costume is ready ( cause it was a breeze to put together) but, that my eldest's gal's is not ready cause it is going to kill us first? ( she wants to be a high heeled shoe) Yes, I know....a great idea but, us trying to figure out how to make it work?....that is a whole other ball o' wax. We think we may have figured it out, wish us luck! :)

Little things & little moments

Hi darlings! 

              So, today is all about one lady & one shop that are little things that I adore. Vana never ceases to amaze me with the awesome things she dreams up. And since her holiday line just came out, I thought it was the perfect time to show you some of her new things. Hello lovely ones, 

                    So sorry about no post on friday...I was caught up in the day & my girls were home and we just enjoyed the day.... How was your weekend? I have to say, this was one of the loveliest weekends of the fall. My brother in law visiting, a christening & a beautiful brunch, my girls making us so proud at every turn, sleepovers & yard sales...topped off with a night out with one of my best gals last night. sigh...lovely. Speaking of yard sales...I scored at the one I went to this weekend. Such a lovely couple with a beautiful home down the street from me. I got a beautiful, high backed bench for my porch and two handsome urns for my mums. ( that sentence cracks me up for some reason) :) What did you do? I would love to hear....I thought of you all when I saw this print down below. Cause you are the bees knees to me, ya know. Then that top. Swoon. And last but, not least...those mittens. I think I have had them on my wishlist every year for the past 4 years. Aren't they adorable? Just beautiful. You would have to be cheerful, looking down at those in the snow, right?

Little things & little moments

Hello sweethearts, 

              I am feeling very "pink" today....how about you? Any color that seems to be on your mind these days? I  find that I get a certain color in my mind for a little while & unconciously "collect" it. Then I look back at my favorites or my posts and see the "color of the moment" everywhere. So, today it is pink. Always a fan of Heather Moore's, her latest collection is filled with beautiful new patterns and colorways. The pillow down below, being my favorite. Then there are those sweet tags with their gorgeous floral and that skirt.....( which would probably be hideous on me in real life but, hey....I still love it) At any rate, they are 3 little things that are making me very happy today.

            Did you have a lovely weekend? We had a good time with friends and family; dinner, sleepovers, walks in the reservation ( woods), the park and taco night! :) How about you?
