Hello sweet ones!
Boy, did I have a good time in D.C. this weekend! I am working hard on the video of Fifteen/Eleven so I can share it with you all. But, I want to thank the 3 wonderful ladies I was with, for hanging out with me. Brandi- for welcoming me into her home & taking me to some pretty kick-ass places to eat( highlights included the BEST gelato, yummy pizza, great Ethiopian food & the most AMAZING bakery ever ( The Sweet Lobby). Karey- for driving in to spend the day with us and making me laugh all day ( she is just as effervescent in person as I thought she would be) and of course, Suann. Suann is so warm, funny, sweet & generous and I thank her for letting me come in, disturb her day & ask her all kinds of annoying questions! :) I adore all 3 of them & thank them for showing me a fantastic time. I can't wait to share them with you, in the video. How were your weekends? Fun? What did you do?
Over the weekend, one of the places Brandi took me was Trohv. A fantastic shop in D.C. that is filled with beautiful things. One of my favorites was the piece, above, by BrandDave. It cracked me up and I really wanted to take it home with me. As a parting gift, Suann very kindly gave me one of her adorable "Hello" bags with a pair of ballet flats on it. Isn't it sweet? I love it.... and lastly, is the quote above.
"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not: Remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for" - Epicurus
I love that, I try to remember...it isn't always easy, of course. But, often when I am puttering about my home, I remember the day we first walked into it during an open house & how badly I wanted it to be my home. And then....it was! wow. I am still so incredibly grateful.

I hope you have a beautiful day, my friends! I will see you back here tomorrow. Until then...be well.

ps hop on over to Brandi's today if you'd like to see a fun little video I took at the yummy pizza place we ate at. The guy who made the dough was an amazing "pizza juggler". Pizza juggler? Yes...you'll see.
