It was the last day of school yesterday, and now summer has officially begun for us, Yay! What are your fun plans for this summer? Travelling? The beach? Pool? We are going to do a little of all 3. Just the way I like it. Some new pieces that I have fallen in love with this week....
~ Robert Farkas's work is new to me but, I love the soft & meandering edges on this sweet fox. ( I have a fondness for foxes)
~ I love so much of Becca Stadtlander's work, it is hard to choose just one! This piece is in greeting card form, in her shop. I wonder if we could convince Becca to do a print of it as well? The dark background and vibrant colors in the flowers are so beautiful. Plus, I love the tiny detail of the string around the stems, holding them together.
~Lab Partners has a knack for creating beautiful & vibrant prints that seem to speak to everyone. There is an inherent joy & "captured sunshine" in their work. I would love to see this piece made into a print. It is always lovely to see all kinds of people depicted in artwork and the scenario this piece conjures up (the beach, fashion and a good time had by all) is the perfect way to start summer.
