Hello lovelies!
How were your weekends? Anything fun to report? We had a fun weekend, mostly me and my girls hanging out and trying to stay out of the heat( especially since my eldest gal was suffering from poison ivy & needed to stay cool-she is much better now) One of the things we did, was go to our local zoo. This zoo is constantly trying to improve and better itself. Usually zoos upset me a little, as I am not a big fan of animals in cages. Turtle Back zoo is dedicated to doing what is best for the animals They have a temporary butterfly exhibit up; a walk- through space where the live butterflies are all around you...I love those. Maybe you have been to some in other places? Each time I visit one, it makes me happy. You are forced to slow down, watch where you step and be quiet. Otherwise, you might accidently hurt one of the butterflies. It is so peaceful....and my girls love it. So, a few snippets & a little inspiration.
~ I also rearranged my desk cabinet. I wanted to display things with the doors open but, it is still a work in progress. I put tons of family photos on the inside doors but, right now, it isn't all working for me. Any suggestions?
~ It is funny how priveleged you feel, when a butterfly lands on you, right? I wonder why they choose to land on certain things that are not plants or flowers. This little guy was really searching for nectar on my arm! Maybe it is my perfume?
~ Of course, no matter how often they tell people not to touch them, be careful where you walk ( as some are on the ground), etc. There is always the kid who is catching them and holding them in his little fist...ack. That drives me nuts. Especially when the parent is just oblivious. They only live for 10 days people! Give them some space. :)
~ This color gets me every time. Such a beautiful blue & the pink flowers are such a beautiful contrast. Photograph by: Christina Wilson here
~ Love this delineation. With just a simple but, striking branch. Such a cool visual effect. Via here
~ Uncle Beefy brought my attention to these photographs. The title of the selection is: "21 photos that will restore your faith in humanity" They certainly do.
I hope you have a wonderful start to your week, my friends! I will see you back here tomorrow. Until then, be well. Ok?
