Hi friends!
I'm going to pretend for a minute, that I haven't known my husband for 18 years (almost), that I can't read every thought that passes across his handsome face, that he isn't my best friend & that he doesn't find me to be a tough critic when it comes to acting. ( well, now I'm depressed) :) Why? Because then perhaps I will be able to be objective and tell you exactly why he inspires me so much. He is an actor, always has been. He went to Brown, toying with the idea of pre-med ( both of his folks were doctors), fell in love with theater and never looked back. He went on to NYU's grad acting program and has worked as an actor ever since. He charms everyone he meets, he is wiser than he has any right to be, he is funny, an amazing father, an amazing friend and a brilliant actor. One of my favorite things to do is sit in the dark, alone, and watch him on stage or on the screen. I could go on for days about how amazing he is at most everything he puts his mind to. But, since I was trained as an actor too, I know for a fact how hard acting is. How hard the business is, the auditioning over & over & over is. Putting yourself out there, hoping for the best, working your butt off. He does it with grace & aces it. I often wish I was a little bit more like him. He has confidence that shines from his eyes & his smile. Strength that inspires me and the depths of his talent, haven't even begun to be discovered yet.
Why am I writing all of this today? When he inspires me, every day? Well, I have this blog solely because it enables me to share what I love, what I think is beautiul and inspiring. I would be remiss if I didn't document my admiration & pride for this man that I love so much and count on so completely. This friday, the movie he worked so hard on, a few summers ago, finally has a limited release in NYC & LA. I will be taking 2 of my best pals & my eldest gal will be taking 2 of her best pals; to attend the opening night and cheer him on. I want to shout it from the mountain tops but, this will have to do. If you want to come cheer him on too, here is all the info; Brief Reunion.
