Hello my dears! 

                 Sorry about no post yesterday! We were deep in the throes of "patio-making" and covered in mud and dirt. Starting as soon as our girls headed off to school and not stopping til it was almost time to pick them up! Hope it turns out the way we hope. I thought I'd share 3 little things that are making me very happy today. I am in love with them all....and completely besotted by two( I'll give you 2 guesses as to which ones) :) 

Little things:

Hello my sweets,

                   Daydreaming of sunshine & laughter. The Haze: Mimosa wallpaper from AphroChic is happiness, personified. Don't you think? I don't know how you could walk into a room, with that wallpaper on the wall, and not be cheerful. I would love to put it in my entryway or dining room. Ooh, or wouldn't it be great in a hallway? Especially one without much natural light? It would be like opening up a proverbial window. Do you see the teeny little bronze nails down below? Look at how they styled them in these photos. I love the elegant simplicity. Anything you hung on them would shine, no? And last but, not least is dream ring number one. Number one, you say? Well, yes. I am chagrined to say, that despite my already plentiful stack o' rings, I still lust after more. What can I say? Rings are my "drug". :)

~ Watching my eldest gal practice her archery, she has fallen in love with it.

Little things & little moments

Hello sweet ones, 

                 Yesterday, as I was walking through the mall with Marichelle & Ez...a mom whose kids go to the same school as mine do, walked by. I don't know her well, only by sight. But, as I glanced in her direction I suddenly felt like a teenager & she seemed like the adult. I was caught skipping school with my buds. How funny is that? It had nothing to do with her & everything to do with how some moments create space for you to be free. You know what I mean? It wasn't planned & it wasn't lasting. But, just for a moment I felt like a kid. Laughing and being silly, headed to Sephora with two of my friends.  I was momentarily caught in a time warp. You know what I mean? Funny & fun. I have had those moments before, with my girls or my hubby. Where time suspends and I am a kid again. Sorry for no art today....just favorite things & moments. I knew you wouldn't mind. :)

Little things, moments & art

Hello sweethearts! 

                 How has your week been so far? Lots of lovely things to share today...some little things, moments and some beautiful art- that are making me very happy today. Wanna see? 

Little things: 

~ Oy. love this design by Rifle Paper so much & now it is on a backdrop ( exclusive to BHLDN). Of course, I want it to use as a backdrop in my living room. To frame a chair or....anything really! It is just so pretty. sigh. here 

~ And how adorable is this hot air balloon?! Love it too, of course. I would love to put a fern in there. here 

~ Oops, how did those get in there?! Yes, I am still on a clog sandal kick. This happy yellow is just too good to resist! Right? :)  here 

Little moments:

~ Watching my little one have fun, being star student of the week. 

~ Watching my two girls dance together; my eldest gal taught the littler one a dance and then they did it over and over again. I just sat & watched with a huge grin on my face. Love them so. 

~ Accomplishing a lot of tasks around the house ( not fun ones but, ones that you need to do & make you feel like you really accomplished something afterwards. You know what I mean?) 

Art: 

~Night, Moon, apples: Ekaterina Goncharova's work is new to me & I am so in love with the softness in her work. The colors as well...the blue of the sky, the pink road and the deep greens. Beautiful. ( thanks Justina, for the intro) 

~ 2 women wooden statuette: I love Alexandra's use of color & the whimsical nature of her figures. Then she takes it one step further by making them 3 dimensional. Love that. 

~ Again, it is the colors that get me in Jayde's work. I love that color blue. Cerulean? And the sweet & retro nature of the figure, off to a market in Paris ( I presume). Happy-making. here

Little things, moments & art

Hello my friends! 

                   Are these weeks flying by for you, as they are for me? Summer will be here before we know it and that makes me happy. I am enjoying spring, don't get me wrong...I just love summer so. As usual, I have a few new things that I am wishing for....or obsessing over. Depends on where you stand, I guess. :) Thought I would share those with you, some little moments that made me happy this week and some art that also makes me incredibly happy. 

Little things: 

~Staghorn fern, mounted here (I have a thing for ferns....of any kind. This staghorn is no exception, especially after seeing this one on my vacation recently. The mother of all staghorns. Gorgeous.)

~ No. 6 clog here (I know, I know....I have a clog obsession. I do, I admit it. These are my dream pair for the summer. Seriously. I love them )

~ Falcon Wright wallet here ( currently, FW is sold out of their wallets but, I am told there will be updates in the near future) 

Little moments: 

~ Laughing with my eldest gal; her face, her smile & her generous heart. 

~ Snuggling with my littlest gal; her face, her smile & her sweet soul. 

~ Joking around with my hubby & thinking that after almost 18 years together....I am still SO happy to see him & he still makes me laugh. 

Art: 

~ Adriana Torres is the artist behind Miga de Pan and pretty much everything she makes, I fall for. This collage is no exception. It was a piece Adriana did when she was working on researching African costumes. The colors, the figures...everything about it makes me happy. 

~ Thanks to lovely Leslie, I came across these pages from a Friendship Album, made in 1839 by Margaret Williams. Some of the flowers are constructed out of hair. Doesn't it seem so current? Especially with the touches of gold? Love. 

~ This piece is actually a Save the date card (a set of 50) from Loft Life Press. Wouldn't it be a beautiful print as well? A perfect sentiment & of course I love the colors & beautiful font.

Hello lovelies! 

               So, yesterday my feature for the etsy blog went up & it was so much fun. I gathered together some of my recent faves to share for mother's day and I had such a great time curating. One of my fave things to do. Go on over & say "Hi". It is so hard to choose in those circumstances, I could make 100 features if I needed to, with all of the etsy things I love.              It is a beautiful day here & I am looking forward to getting outside and feeling the sunshine on my face. How about you? Any little things or little moments that are making you happy today? I always love to hear about them....I thought I would share some little things & little moments that are making my day & a little bit of art. 

~ an early birthday present from my folks for our mudroom ( could NOT love it more) from here 

~ love this blue & the sweet ease of this dress here 

~ ditto for these mocs, I think I would probably wear these every day ( if ya let me) here 

 

~ love the strong lines and honesty in the portraits of Tabitha Brown here 

~ such sweetness in the simplicity of this piece & statement. Love.... here ( via Joy) 

~ Just found Fukawa Aiko's work this morning ( thanks to Bekka) and fell in love with the happy colors and whimsical figures here

Hello sweet ones, 

                    Happy Thursday, I thought I would share some of the little things & little moments that are making me happy today. Topped off with 3 of my favorite pieces of art right now... How about you, my friends? What are some little things and little moments that are making you happy today? I would love to know. Also, weigh in, do you like the collage format better or when I single each item out? Or a little mixture of both? :) 

~ ok, so I lost my precious charm bracelet a few months ago. No idea where, it fell off my wrist and I was bereft. Joel had given it to me when we learned we were pregnant with our first daughter and he added to it over the years. Irreplaceable. But, I am slightly obsessed with starting anew with the one you see above. here 

~ Also slightly obsessed with finding an affordable version of Henry Link's faux bamboo chest for our dining room. The one above IS affordable as it isn't made by Henry Link so, they are out there. :) here 

~ On our vacation, I picked up a copy of Sibella Court's Nomad ( I have had it on my wishlist for awhile now) and was so inspired by it. In it, she mentions that she always travels with talisman or amulets. This necklace reminded me of that & now I am convinced it will protect me. here 

~ beautiful....the soft sky, the strong lines on the boy and the compelling story by Sandra Dieckmann here

Hello my sweets! 

                 Man,  it is beautiful outside with all of the blossom trees blooming! What is it like where you are? So many things inspiring me today and making me swoon. I thought I would share them with you...what are some little things or little moments that are making you happy today? I would love to know! 

Little things: 

~ My darling friend, Deb's latest offer of beautiful goodness! It is on Fab.com for one more day! Right....HERE. And then after that, right here. I am in love. :)  

~ lamp here ( still in love with this lamp after over a year...can't believe it is still there. Even the blooms light up when it is on) love.

~ shoes here 

Little moments: 

~ ooh...and one more. The quality time with my hubby this week....heaven. 

3 pieces of art: 

~ Such a fan of Julie Van Wezemael's work ( introduced to me by Ez). She is an illustration student in Belgium but, the depth to her work and the folkloric bent make me think she is already way beyond her student days. 

~ Betsy Walton was one of the very first artists I was introduced to when I found blogland and etsy, 6 years ago. I still love her beautiful use of color, unexpected mix of figures & shapes and this piece is still one of my favorites & one of the first things I bought on etsy. Link to her shop: here 

~ Olaf Hajek's work never ceases to amaze me...I love the dark & vibrant colors he uses in his work and the romantic subject matter of nature, florals and sometimes mysterious figures.

Little things & little moments

Hello my darlings! 

                Favorite things, favorite things....I love to share my favorite things. These 3 little things are making me very happy today. See the stool down below? I had fallen for it awhile ago & then it disappeared before I could get my grubby paws on it. But, now it is back & better than ever (read: "on sale") So, I snapped up two for our entry way. It is just plain silly how happy that is making me. Do you get that way too? With the glorious weather we have been having and spring upon us....I am one happy gal.
